Know Your Rights- Loved Ones

When someone you care about is on supervision, it can feel overwhelming to navigate the rules, restrictions, and decisions made by supervision agents. This workshop is designed to empower family members, partners, and friends with the knowledge and tools they need to provide meaningful support—without losing their own voice or rights in the process.

Participants will learn:

• The basics of how supervision works in Wisconsin (including probation, parole, and extended supervision).

• What rights and responsibilities loved ones have when agents interact with families and households.

• How to recognize when agents or systems may be overstepping their authority.

• Strategies to advocate effectively and safely for a loved one while maintaining healthy boundaries.
